Automotive Technician

Mercedes-Benz of St. Louis is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Automotive Technician to become a valuable member of our team.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Automotive Technician at Mercedes-Benz of St. Louis, you will be responsible for performing assigned repair tasks with precision and professionalism, adhering strictly to dealership standards. You will conduct comprehensive test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to evaluate vehicle components and systems effectively.

Your expertise will be applied to diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning. Clear and timely communication with the Service Advisor is essential, ensuring customers are promptly informed of any additional service requirements along with accurate time estimates for such repairs.

In addition, you will be entrusted with executing warranty repairs in compliance with manufacturer specifications, upholding the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction.

• Execute repair work detailed in the repair order efficiently and in accordance with dealership protocols.
• Perform test drives and utilize diagnostic instruments and specialized service equipment to assess vehicle systems thoroughly.
• Expertly diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems,s including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning.
• Maintain effective communication with the Service Advisor to keep customers informed about additional service needs and provide accurate time estimates.
• Carry out warranty repairs adhering strictly to manufacturer guidelines and standards.

     REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, preferably with experience working on luxury vehicles.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Successful completion of a background check and drug screening before employment.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean driving record.
• Mercedes-Benz training is completed on a quarterly basis.
• Candidates must possess a valid Missouri State Inspector's License or register for a Missouri State Inspector's License within 90-days of employment.
