    Description

    Job Summary:Central GMC of Norwood is seeking skilled Automotive Transmission Technicians to join our team. This is a full-time,  position in the auto industry located in Norwood, Massachusetts. The role is an individual contributor who will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive transmissions for our customers.Compensation & Benefits:We offer extremely competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications with a SIGN ON BONUS  based on experience. In addition, we provide comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans.Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic tests on vehicles' transmissions to identify any issues or malfunctions- Utilize computerized diagnostic tools and software to assist in diagnostics and repairs- Repair or replace damaged or worn-out transmission components- Follow manufacturer guidelines and technical instructions for repairs and maintenance- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools- Keep accurate records of work performed and time spent on each vehicle- Provide exceptional customer service and communication to ensure customer satisfaction- Strive to complete repairs in a timely and efficient manner- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in automotive transmissionsRequirements:- Experience with CDK and Xtime preferred - Previous experience as an Automotive Transmission Technician- Strong knowledge of automotive transmission systems and components- Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions- Strong problem-solving skills- Excellent customer service and communication skills- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining quality work- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
