AutoTime Application Support Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking an AutoTime Application Support Engineer for a remote one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will support a business-critical AutoTime environment by resolving Service Central tickets, troubleshooting application and data issues, maintaining automated jobs and integrations, and developing fixes when needed. The engineer will work across backend, frontend, database, container, and scheduling technologies while participating in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Required Skills

• Previous hands-on experience supporting AutoTime.
• Previous experience with Service Central and resolving application-support tickets.
• Experience troubleshooting application pipelines and production issues.
• 4–6 years of experience with Spring Boot.
• 4–6 years of experience with Angular.
• 4–6 years of experience with Python.
• 4–6 years of experience with SQL, including querying data and working with stored procedures.
• 4–6 years of experience with OpenShift and/or Kubernetes.
• 4–6 years of experience with Control-M.
• Experience supporting backend and frontend enterprise applications.
• Experience troubleshooting data, integration, and automated-job issues.
• Ability to develop software fixes for business-critical application issues.
• Ability to participate in an after-hours and weekend on-call rotation.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote support environment.

Preferred Skills

• Java experience.
• Experience supporting timekeeping, payroll, labor, PTO, HR-feed, or related enterprise integrations.
• Experience supporting scheduled batch jobs and automated processing.
• Experience with production application support in a large enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do

• Receive, investigate, and resolve support tickets related to the AutoTime environment.
• Troubleshoot Service Central tickets involving application, pipeline, integration, and data issues.
• Develop software fixes for business-critical incidents when required.
• Support Spring Boot backend services and Angular frontend applications.
• Use Python to support scheduled jobs and integrations with systems such as payroll, HR, PTO, and labor applications.
• Query and troubleshoot SQL databases and stored procedures.
• Support applications running in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• Monitor and troubleshoot automated jobs managed through Control-M.
• Verify scheduled processing jobs complete successfully.
• Investigate failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical after-hours and weekend support.
• Support scheduled Sunday evening and early Monday morning processing as assigned through the team rotation.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Fully remote.
• Standard full-time schedule with additional on-call responsibilities.
• On-call support may include evenings and weekends.
• Current planned rotation includes approximately one week primary on-call, one week backup, followed by at least one week off-call; final rotation is still being established.
• Rotational support may include verification of jobs scheduled around 6:00 PM Eastern on Sundays and 2:00 AM Eastern on Mondays.

Pay

• $63.00 per hour.
