Job Summary:
PIC Staffing is seeking a Auxiliary Operators to support a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant in New Mexico. The Auxiliary Operator is responsible for supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant systems and equipment. This role includes monitoring plant equipment, performing water chemistry testing, supporting maintenance activities, and assisting with plant startups, shutdowns, and overall operational readiness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support the safe and efficient operation of CCGT plant equipment and auxiliary systems under the direction of the Operations Manager and Control Room Operator.
Monitor plant operating parameters and perform routine inspections to identify abnormal conditions or equipment issues.
Support plant startups, shutdowns, and unit transitions, including coordination with Control Room Operations.
Operate and maintain plant systems including rotating equipment, water treatment systems, and chemical feed systems.
Perform water chemistry testing and support chemical treatment programs to maintain proper plant chemistry and equipment reliability.
Assist with preventive maintenance activities, troubleshooting, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and routine mechanical and electrical repairs.
Assist with chemical handling, offloading activities, and emergency response efforts as needed.
Complete operational logs, reports, and inventory documentation while supporting all plant safety and regulatory compliance programs.
