Avenir at Mark Twain- FT PTA

Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at Avenir at Mark Twain in Bridgeton, MO to join our rehabilitation team in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting. The PTA will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitative care to our residents, helping them restore mobility, improve functional independence, and enhance overall quality of life.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist

• Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, transfer training, and mobility interventions

• Utilize modalities and therapeutic techniques as appropriate

• Monitor and document patient progress accurately and timely

• Communicate resident status and changes to supervising PT and interdisciplinary team

• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety strategies

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations

• Maintain productivity standards and complete required documentation

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Current state PTA license (in good standing)

• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred

• Strong clinical, documentation, and communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team

• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
