The role is suited for an attorney who will serve as a trusted adviser to clients on aviation and aerospace related disputes, regulatory administrative and enforcement matters, investigations, airport and aircraft security, commercial agreements and transactions, and employment issues.Responsibilities Serve as a trusted adviser on aviation and aerospace related disputesHandle regulatory, administrative, and enforcement mattersManage investigations and airport and aircraft security issuesDraft and respond to initial pleadings and discoveryDraft and argue motions and take and defend depositionsProvide support on commercial agreements, transactions, and employment mattersQualifications Juris Doctorate (JD) requiredLicensed to practice in the District of ColumbiaSix to ten years of general litigation experienceStrong interest in aviationKnowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred experience in aviation, transportation, and/or government contracts industriesPreferred pilot experienceExperience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discoveryExperience drafting and arguing motions and taking and defending depositionsStrong research, writing, and academic recordAbility to work independently and as part of a dynamic litigation teamLaw firm experience preferredWork Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a clerical, office setting. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are often necessary.Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this Washington,D.C. position is $245,000–$280,000.
