Aviation Engineering Project Manager

A growing and innovative engineering firm is looking to adda Senior Aviation Engineering Project Manager for their Seattle team!

Responsibilities:

• Business Development responsibilities:

• Develop new business
• Identify/market additional business opportunitiesfor existing clients
• Client relations management
• Participate in proposal presentations
• Utilize CRM for tracking all businessdevelopment activities
• Meet with new/existing clients to gather projectinformation
• Develop proposal sections and scopes of workwith technical staff

• Management responsibilities:

• Manage overall financial performance and day-to-dayoperations
• Implement growth/sales plans
• Develop strategic plan for department
• Manage/deliver quality aviation projectson-time and within budget
• Meet/exceed client expectations
• Conduct job hazard analysis
• Create job site specific health/safety plans
• Mentor/train junior staff
• Utilize staff to keep project on budget

• Technical responsibilities:

• Manage multiple projects at once
• Provide technical direction/development onscope of work
• Mitigate project risk
• Assign projects to designers/engineers
• Manage scope
• Identify/document changes in scope and acquireamendments for changes
• Perform airfield civil engineering design tasks
• Manage the bidding process
• Prepare complex studies, constructiondocuments, drawings, maps, reports and supporting documentation
• Provide senior QC review and direction
• Visit work sites to monitor project progress
• Communicate regularly with clients
• Define scope of work and man-hour requirements
• Ensure tasks, project schedules, and budgetsare met
• Create engineering reports, specifications,cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
• Lead project decisions regarding technicalaspects, cost, and schedule
• Identify schedule/cost variances and recommend correctiveaction

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Master’s degree in civil engineering ispreferred
• 8+ years of significant airside design
• PE License
• Experience in the successful application of FAAcriteria/regulations
• Project management experience
• Business development/marketing experience(writing proposals, scopes of work, budgets)
• Experience using project management software

Salary iscommensurate with experience.
