    Minimum Qualifications

    Bachelor s degree. Five years of experience in software development and systems analysis are required. Additional related work experience in software development and systems analysis may substitute for the required college education on a year-for-year basis.

    Recruitment Notes

    This is an advanced senior position in systems analysis and full stack software development in a centralized data processing operation. Employees in this class are responsible for the analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of large-scale software applications and systems utilizing computer systems. Responsibilities of this position include conducting feasibility studies, developing systems proposals, designing, and developing full stack software solutions, coordinating system development with management officials and user departments, and participating in the complete software development lifecycle. Additional duties entail implementing and supporting automated build, testing, deployment, and continuous integration and continuous delivery processes. In addition, the incumbent of this position will coordinate the work of systems analysts and participating programmers assigned to their development; conduct or supervise user training as required; and supervise the design and implementation of necessary system revisions. The ideal candidate possesses advanced knowledge of computer capabilities, software development practices, system architecture, application security, database integration, and DevOps methodologies in the design of complete systems of a complex nature is mandatory. General supervision is received from a technical superior who evaluates completed application for quality of results and achievement of objectives.

    Airport Security

    Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
