Role snapshot

  • Type: 8+ month contract
  • Location: 1845 W 205TH ST, Torrance, CA 90501 (onsite)
  • Shift: 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM start (Non‑9/80)
  • Safety: Steel‑toe footwear required
  • Interview: Required

What you'll tackle

  • Receive and inspect incoming goods; validate against POs/pack lists; identify, label, and disposition to storage or production.
  • Maintain AS9100‑compliant documentation: lot/serial tracking, inventory transactions, bills of lading, and shipping records.
  • Complete cycle counts and inventory audits; resolve variances and drive corrective actions.
  • Store materials to environmental and handling requirements; preserve part integrity and shelf life.
  • Partner with Procurement/Production/Quality to manage shortages and delivery schedules; support material requests.
  • Participate in AS9100 audits; help implement process improvements aligned to quality standards.

Must-haves

  • AS9100 certification.
  • 1–3 years in materials handling, preferably aerospace/defense/aviation or manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Comfort with inventory systems and accurate data entry.
  • Ability to lift/move heavy items and operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication.

Nice-to-haves

  • AS9102 knowledge (first article inspection documentation).
  • Familiarity with Lean/continuous improvement.
