A Night in the Life

When the night shift clicks into gear, you take the helm of quality control across our aerospace repair operations. You orchestrate inspections, keep non-destructive testing humming, and make sure every traveler, spec, and procedure lines up with our Quality Systems Manual (QSM) and Repair Station Manual (RSM). You are the person production calls when they need the right inspection resources at the right time—and you make it happen.

From Gate 1 (input/receiving inspection/strip) to final inspection, through NDT operations (X-ray, FPI, Airflow, Ultrasonic), the metallurgical lab, and calibration, you direct the flow of work and uphold uncompromising standards. You mentor, cross-train, certify, and evaluate a skilled team, all while championing continuous improvement and lean principles to elevate safety, quality, and throughput.

What You’ll Lead

• Coordinate and prioritize all inspection activities to ensure full coverage across the shift.
• Review document control and shop travelers for accuracy and completeness.
• Keep employee testing and certifications current; ensure cross-training and program understanding across the department.
• Evaluate team performance and recommend promotions where merited.
• Maintain rigorous safety and housekeeping standards throughout the department.
• Embed continuous improvement and lean thinking in daily work.
• Uphold QSM and RSM requirements; act as Management Representative to oversee Company compliance with AS/ISO standards.
• Model and enforce Company health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Drive exceptional teamwork and customer service across departments and the broader organization.
• Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance.

Background That Sets You Up for Success

Education & Experience

• 5–8 years of recent experience in a closely related aerospace/aviation environment.
• Bachelor’s degree (or a combination of related education/training/experience in lieu of degree).
• Prior supervisory experience leading quality or inspection teams.
• Preferred: experience with Part 145/21 certification inspection.
• English language proficiency (read/write/speak/understand).

Licenses & Certifications

• Ability to pass applicable vision testing, if required.
• Eligible for FAA Repairman certification.
• Maintain Level I/II certification in at least one NDT discipline, renewed every three years.

Technical & Professional Strengths

• Comprehensive understanding of turbine engine repair processes and inspection methods.
• Fluency with specifications, manuals, and procedures; precise documentation skills.
• Analytical problem-solving mindset; strong computer proficiency.
• Clear, professional communication (written and verbal); customer-focused demeanor.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable; able to work independently and in teams.
• Familiarity with full production flows tied to assigned processes.
