Overview

The Aviation Trainer is responsible for delivering training programs to frontline employees performing aircraft cabin cleaning and airport janitorial services. This role ensures employees are properly trained on safety procedures, cleaning standards, regulatory requirements, and service expectations to maintain high levels of quality, compliance, and operational efficiency in an aviation environment.

Pay: $18.00/hour  

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Responsibilities

Training & Development

  • Conduct onboarding and ongoing training for cabin cleaners, janitorial staff, and supervisors
  • Develop and deliver training programs on cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols
  • Provide hands-on instruction for aircraft cabin cleaning, including galleys, lavatories, and seating areas
  • Ensure team members are trained on company standards, client requirements, and SOPs

Compliance & Safety

  • Train employees on OSHA, FAA, and airport authority regulations
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, PPE usage, and hazardous material handling
  • Conduct safety briefings, audits, and refresher training sessions
  • Maintain accurate training records and certifications

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct site observations and inspections to ensure proper cleaning techniques and service delivery
  • Identify performance gaps and retrain employees as needed
  • Partner with operations leadership to drive continuous improvement

Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with Operations Managers and Supervisors to support workforce readiness
  • Assist with new account startups, transitions, and special projects
  • Support scheduling of training sessions across multiple shifts and sites

Qualifications

  • Must have a Valid State Driver's License for a minimum of 1 year
  • High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
  • 2–5 years of experience in aviation services, janitorial, or facilities management
  • Previous training or instructional experience preferred
  • Knowledge of aircraft cabin cleaning procedures strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with OSHA, FAA, and airport safety regulations
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to train diverse groups in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to work inside aircraft cabins and in airport ramp/terminal environments
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
