Aviation Support Compliance Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree. Additional contract or compliance experience may substitute for the required college education on a year for year basis.

Recruitment Notes

Provides security administrative work within the Security Compliance Section to ensure all stakeholders at Miami International Airport (MIA) comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. This role involves monitoring regulatory changes, conducting ID badge confiscation hearings, maintaining security compliance documentation and records, coordinating with external agencies during inspections and investigations, reviewing CCTV videos, reviewing and ensuring compliance with Sensitive Security Information (SSI) best practices, and tracking mandated Department of Homeland Security (DHS) training initiatives for all Divisional employees. This administrative work is essential to maintain safety and security, SSI integrity, and operational compliance within all stakeholders conducting business and holding an airport identification badge at MIA.

Airport Security

Applicants qualifying for employment with the Miami-Dade Aviation Department will be subject to extensive security screening, including but not limited to fingerprint checks, employment verification, and other such procedures as may be mandated by federal law. The security clearance required by federal law is a continuing condition of employment.
