The AVID Tutor is a motivated college student dedicated to supporting college-bound middle and high school students in achieving academic and personal success.
Under the supervision of the AVID teacher, tutors work with small groups across various subjects to promote collaboration, organization, and critical thinking. They serve as positive role models and examples of college success.
Responsibilities include tutoring in study groups, assisting with organizational skills and college prep, reviewing student notes, working on the writing process, and maintaining communication with the AVID staff regarding student progress.
Available shifts vary by school, with hours typically from 8:00am to 3:20pm, not exceeding 950 characters.
