Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking an F-16 Avionics Technician in Greenville, SC for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.

The F-16 Avionics Technician will support aircraft production by installing electrical harnesses and components, routing and terminating wires and cables, performing continuity testing, and completing operational checks. Depending on the assigned area, this role may also troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems and support general mechanical installation and inspection activities.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Experience installing aircraft electrical harnesses, wiring, cables, or avionics components.
• Ability to route and terminate electrical wires and cables.
• Soldering and electrical termination experience.
• Ability to perform continuity testing and operational checks.
• Ability to understand safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to work safely on and around aircraft.
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, twist, and work inside or on aircraft.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements and overhead work.
• Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
• Ability to properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials and chemicals according to applicable regulations and procedures.
• Ability to maintain a clean and FOD-free work area.
• Ability to work any assigned shift.

Preferred Skills

• 4–6 years of aircraft electrical troubleshooting experience.
• 4–6 years of electrical diagnosis and repair experience.
• 4–6 years of experience reading electrical schematics.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft avionics systems.
• F-16 production or maintenance experience.

What You’ll Do

• Install aircraft electrical harnesses, wires, cables, and avionics components.
• Route and terminate wires and cables according to technical requirements.
• Perform soldering and termination operations.
• Conduct continuity tests and operational checks.
• Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
• Read and follow maintenance instructions, procedures, and electrical documentation.
• Support general mechanical installations, testing, and inspections as assigned.
• Use required tools and personal protective equipment safely.
• Maintain clean, organized, and FOD-free work areas.
• Perform additional mission-essential aircraft production duties as assigned.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Training will be completed on 1st shift.
• Must be available for assignment to 1st, 2nd, or weekend shift.
• 1st shift: Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:30 PM–3:00 AM.
• Possible weekend shift: Thursday–Sunday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Pay

• $34.00–$38.00 per hour
