COM/NAV, Avionics, Electronics, Bench Technician Banks Aerospace Inc. - Franklin, NC **Pay** : $28.44 - $58.08 an hour **Full-Time** Avionics / COM-NAV / Electronics Bench Technician Position Overview: We are seeking experienced Avionics Bench Technicians with strong COM/NAV, RF, and electronics backgrounds to support the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of advanced aircraft systems. Immediate openings are available for qualified applicants. Job Responsibilities - Build and maintain test benches, wire harnesses, and test panels. - Test, troubleshoot, and repair avionics, communication, and navigation equipment, electronic displays, and accessories. - Perform componentlevel diagnostics and repairs on aircraft radios, transponders, radio altimeters, flight director computers, HUDs, radar components, and related systems. - Use industrystandard and specialized electronic test equipment daily. - Follow Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), Technical Orders (T.O.s), NAVAIRs and T.M.s and established procedures for all repair activities. Skills and Qualifications - Strong attention to detail and high technical accuracy. - Solid background in electronics and/or RF circuitry identification. - Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. - Understanding of electronic componentlevel theory. - Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams. - Proficient soldering skills. - Ability to follow flow charts and diagnostic logic. - Skilled in the use of general and specialized electronic test equipment. - Basic computer proficiency. - Experience performing tests in accordance with supplied technical data, and/or create equivalent test procedures that utilizes alternative test equipment. Preferred Experience (Highly Desired): Componentlevel bench repair of military avionics systems, including: ARC182, ARC186, ARC164, APX100, APX101, APX113, F15 AFCS components, APG63, APG66, military control heads, and primary display systems for C130, F15, F16, and UH60 platforms. Minimum Requirements: - High School Diploma, GED, or military background (engineering degree or equivalent military training preferred). - 6+ years of componentlevel repair experience with RF/electronics equipment. - Strong communication skills. - Ability to read, interpret, and apply schematics and wiring diagrams. - Strong work ethic and reliability.
