Avionics Supply Chain Program Manager

About the Job:

In this role, you will bridge the gap between internal program engineering and critical supplier partners to support New Glenn launch vehicle avionics. Covering New Product Introduction (NPI), rate production, and product testing, you will manage external contract manufacturers for critical components such as instrumentation sensors, batteries, and avionics boxes. You will lead technical risk mitigations, root cause corrective actions (RCCA), statement of work (SOW) releases, and supply chain schedules, ensuring all flight-grade hardware meets strict performance, quality, and program delivery milestones.

Shift Details & Location

• Location: Greater Seattle, WA or Greater Los Angeles, CA

• Travel: Up to 30% domestic travel expected

What We’re Looking For Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field with project management experience/training.

• 5–10 years of hands-on experience in complex electronic product development (PCBA and enclosures), contract manufacturing, NPI program management, and flight hardware testing.

• Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional product development teams and external manufacturing partners.

• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted refugee/asylee.

Must-Have Skills

• Avionics NPI & Supplier Management: Deep experience managing external contract manufacturers and test labs for complex avionics boxes, batteries, and sensors through NPI, qualification, and production closeouts (EIDPs).

• Technical Project Management: Proven capability leading project life cycles (SOW development, SDRLs, logic-linked scheduling in MS Project, scope management, and cost accounting).

• Failure Analysis & Risk Mitigation: Hands-on experience leading failure investigations, RCCA activities, DFX feedback loops, and identifying technical risks at the supplier level.

• Supply Chain & Demand Signaling: Skill in coordinating demand signals with internal procurement, fulfillment, and supplier quality teams to ensure long-lead hardware delivery.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

• Experience across the full production lifecycle for multiple released aerospace/flight-grade electronic products.

• Familiarity with IPC standards for circuit card assemblies (Class 2 vs. Class 3 design trade-offs) and wire harnesses.

• Proficiency with industry tools: Primavera P6, IBM DOORS/DNG, Altium, OrCAD, Creo, and Windchill configuration management.
