PGS Worldwide is seeking an Avionics Technician in Greenville, SC for an 8-month contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role supports production flightline operations on advanced aircraft, including installation, testing, and troubleshooting of avionics and electrical systems. You will play a key role in ensuring aircraft readiness through hands-on work in a dynamic flightline environment.

Required Skills

  • 6+ years of avionics and/or electrical experience, or 4+ years of recent aircraft experience with fighter jet platforms
  • Experience installing electrical harnesses, wiring, and avionics components
  • Experience with continuity testing, system testing, and operational checks
  • Experience with soldering and wire/cable termination
  • Experience routing wires and cables in aircraft environments
  • Experience troubleshooting and repairing avionics and electrical systems
  • Experience working engineering changes (redlines), modifications, or wire repair
  • Ability to perform general mechanical installations, testing, and inspections
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced flightline environment

Preferred Skills

  • Aircraft flightline experience with avionics and electrical systems
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • ATO eligibility

What You’ll Do

  • Install electrical harnesses, wiring, and avionics components on aircraft
  • Perform continuity testing, system testing, and operational checks
  • Route and terminate wires and cables to meet system requirements
  • Troubleshoot and repair avionics and electrical systems as needed
  • Support launch and recovery operations
  • Implement engineering changes and modifications, including redlines and wire repairs
  • Perform inspections and ensure systems meet flight readiness standards
  • Collaborate with team members to support production and delivery operations

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Must be able to work either:
    • Monday–Thursday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM, or
    • Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM
