Responsibilities:

• Supervise installation, testing, and repair of avionics systems. • Oversee complex diagnostics and troubleshooting tasks. • Ensure all maintenance activities are documented and compliant with regulations. • Conduct advanced training sessions for avionics staff. • Develop and implement maintenance procedures. • Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient operations. • Maintain high standards of safety and work quality. • This is a direct hire role within SNC.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent. • 5+ years of relevant experience. • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience. • Expertise in avionics systems and regulatory compliance. • Ability to understand and interpret moderately complex, technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications; ability to route wires per technical drawings. • Advanced skills with moderately complex avionics installation tooling, wiring, wiring repair, wiring installation, soldering, and crimping techniques. • Must have own tools in good working order.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Associates degree in Avionics, Electronics, or a related field. • Leadership experience in a maintenance environment. • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Familiarity with FCC and FCC General Radio Operator License (GROL). • Ability to mentor and guide subordinates. • Basic understanding of spectrometer, Oscilloscope, and/or Pitot static equipment. • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.

Essential Functions:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the work shift. • Hand and finger dexterity to work with small mechanical components and tools. • Ability to work in a noisy environment with potential exposure to hazardous materials. • Ability to travel frequently to customer locations, sometimes on short notice. • Ability to work in a combination of office and field environments. • Ability to read detailed technical manuals, schematics, and computer screens. • Ability to inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems accurately. • Ability to hear and understand spoken communication in noisy environments, such as industrial sites or construction areas. • Ability to detect auditory signals from machinery or equipment, which may indicate issues. • Ability to navigate various work environments, including climbing ladders, crawling in confined spaces, and working at heights. • Ability to drive or operate a vehicle for frequent travel to customer locations. • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including repairs, installations, and maintenance. • Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols. • Strong awareness of safety protocols and ability to adhere to safety guidelines in potentially hazardous environments. • Ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
