Position Summary
The AVP, Ambulatory and Accountable Care provides executive leadership and accountability for the activities and functions that support ambulatory growth and value-based care across the Scripps Health enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Ambulatory Operations Oversight
Partner with physicians and providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
Foster collaboration between clinical and operational teams.
Provide oversight for clinics, programs, departments, and patient care centers.
Ensure accountability for:
Compliance
Quality outcomes
Service excellence
Workforce engagement
Leadership development
Lead strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives.
Manage clinic budgets and financial performance.
Data & Analytics Leadership
Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Leadership
Lead physician engagement and network development activities.
Oversee performance improvement efforts with independent providers.
Drive provider integration across the network.
Maintain expertise in:
ACO regulations
Employer contract requirements
Performance targets
Industry best practices
Establish and monitor performance goals.
Workforce Development
Recruit, develop, evaluate, and lead directors, managers, and staff.
Coach leaders to strengthen communication, teamwork, and operational effectiveness.
Ensure staff competency through:
Hiring and onboarding
Training and development
Performance management
Safety education
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Partnerships
Works closely with physician and administrative leadership throughout the organization to achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor''s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
Approximately 8-10 years of progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience.
Preferably within an outpatient healthcare environment.
