Title: AVP / Associate, Corporate Lending & Relationship Management

Office Status: Hybrid New York, NY

Base Salary: Up to $150k + Discretionary Bonus

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a front office corporate lending role at an established financial institution. The position spans the full transaction lifecycle from origination and underwriting through portfolio monitoring and client relationship management with product exposure across syndicated facilities, bilateral loans, fund finance, leveraged finance, deposits, and treasury services. It's a strong opportunity for a candidate who wants a seat at the table on both the credit and business development sides, with room to grow within a collaborative team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct financial spreading, credit risk analysis, and industry/market research to support transaction underwriting across a diverse corporate lending portfolio including fund finance and leveraged finance
  • Prepare credit reports and recommendations in coordination with account officers and credit risk teams, presenting to approval committees
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts including KYC maintenance, post-lending monitoring, interim and annual financial reviews, and collateral management
  • Partner with account officers to identify client credit needs, determine appropriate product solutions, and maintain an active client calling schedule
  • Support origination efforts by analyzing product pricing, tracking pipeline activity, identifying cross-sell opportunities, and improving wallet share and risk/reward ratios
  • Coordinate with operations teams to support transaction onboarding and ongoing portfolio management
  • Ensure full compliance with internal credit risk, KYC/AML, BSA, OFAC, and Patriot Act requirements;detect and escalate red flags or unusual activities as appropriate
  • Develop new products and onboard new customers in alignment with the institution's risk appetite
  • Stay current on industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes;participate in training and professional development activities
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues, supporting their development in credit analysis and client management
