Overview: The AVP Digital Marketing is a visionary and strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing innovative digital marketing initiatives that elevate our brand and drive business growth. This role involves setting the digital strategy, overseeing a broad range of channels (web, mobile, social, etc.), and ensuring an exceptional digital customer experience. The AVP will work closely with cross-functional teams, manage transformational campaigns, and continuously innovate by leveraging emerging technologies and data-driven insights. Responsibilities: • Strategic Leadership and Innovation • Define and articulate a forward-thinking digital marketing vision and strategy aligned with business objectives. • Identify new digital opportunities and trends, driving the adoption of emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to personalize marketing efforts.
• Digital Strategy Execution • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive digital marketing campaigns that integrate search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), content marketing, social media, and display advertising. • Ensure website and digital experiences are optimized for user engagement, search engine performance, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance, and are in alignment with brand standards. • Champion best practices in User Experience (UX) and Customer Experience (CX) to create superior digital interactions.
• Team Leadership and Development • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of digital marketing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement. • Bridge the gap between strategic ideas and tactical execution by aligning digital initiatives across business units.
• Data-Driven Decision Making and Analytics • Leverage advanced analytics and data modeling to track campaign performance, derive actionable insights, and adjust strategies to maximize return on investment (ROI). • Develop and refine the marketing data stack and business intelligence tools to support strategic decisions.
• Technology and Platform Management • Oversee implementations and optimizations of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketing Cloud, Salesforce) to streamline lead nurturing and agent engagement. • Manage the integration and utilization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud for tracking marketing efficiencies and targeting.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Vendor Partnership • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—Sales, Product Development, IT, Communications, and other business units—to ensure cohesive digital customer experiences. • Build and maintain strategic relationships with external agencies, vendors, and technology partners to amplify digital marketing initiatives.
• Operational Excellence and Budget Management • Develop, execute, and manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation and continuous performance improvements. • Maintain oversight of digital marketing projects, proactively identifying and resolving any obstacles while capitalizing on growth opportunities.
• Communication and Brand Advocacy • Act as the voice for digital initiatives within the company by presenting strategic plans, roadmaps, and technical solutions to all levels of leadership. • Promote a sense of shared responsibility, demonstrating business acumen and accountability in decision-making across the digital marketing function.
• Be the voice for digital initiatives across Sammons Financial Group Companies by presenting business concepts, roadmap/plan, and technical solutions to all levels of leadership, departmental and company meetings, as well as team training programs.
• Drive and reinforce commitment to internal controls processes such as those under Model Audit Rule and Record Information Management.

• Participate in other initiatives and/or projects as necessary. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; an MBA or advanced degree Preferred
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with digital marketing strategic responsibility Preferred
  • Minimum 5 years' management experience leading teams Required
  • Advanced digital marketing expertise, including digital strategy, content marketing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), social media, SEO, and data analytics gained from experience in positions of escalating responsibilities Required
  • Proven experience in presenting business concepts, roadmap/plan, and technical solutions to senior leadership Required
  • Knowledge of Liferay, Bootstrap, Material UI, InVision, ION Interactive, basic understanding of HTML, Java etc. and other similar programs Preferred
  • Knowledge of UX and Human Computer Interaction principals and tools a plus Preferred
  • Ability to work with multiple internal and external stakeholders to deliver tangible results

Pay Range: USD $130,505.00 - USD $217,508.00 /Yr. Pay Transparency Verbiage: Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
