ABOUT THE ROLE

This AVP-level Equity Research Analyst opportunity sits within the U.S. Equity team of a well-established global institutional asset manager, offering meaningful ownership of fundamental equity research across the Information Technology sector in collaboration with a Senior Analyst. The role spans the full research process financial modeling and valuation, earnings analysis, investment thesis development, and preparation of investment materials for portfolio managers in New York and Tokyo with the potential to assume primary research responsibility for selected companies or areas within the IT sector based on demonstrated capabilities. It's an ideal fit for an experienced equity research professional with 3 5+ years of relevant experience who combines strong financial modeling skills with genuine intellectual curiosity, sound investment judgment, and the ability to contribute independently in a collaborative, multicultural investment environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct fundamental, bottom-up research on companies within the IT sector in close collaboration with the Senior Analyst;contribute independent research views and differentiated investment insights
• Build, maintain, and update detailed company financial models including income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts, earnings estimates, valuation analyses, and scenario and sensitivity analyses
• Analyze quarterly earnings results, company guidance, investor presentations, SEC filings, and other relevant disclosures;identify key variances versus expectations and assess implications for earnings estimates, valuation, and investment thesis
• Conduct company and industry-level research using disclosures, industry data, third-party research, Bloomberg, and other relevant sources;organize and analyze large datasets to develop differentiated investment insights
• Develop and contribute to investment theses, target prices, and stock recommendations;identify potential new investment opportunities in collaboration with the Senior Analyst
• Contribute IT sector commentary and investment implications to daily morning notes and other internal communications to keep New York and Tokyo-based portfolio managers and the Equity Team current on key company, industry, and market developments
• Contribute to the internal ESG evaluation framework and other research processes as appropriate
• Collaborate across the Senior Analyst, portfolio managers, and other research analysts;assume primary research responsibility for selected companies or IT sector areas based on experience and demonstrated capabilities
