Job Overview:
The AVP, Insurance Partner Performance & Governance is responsible for maximizing the value, effectiveness, and performance of LPL Financial's existing insurance partner ecosystem. This leader serves as the primary executive owner of carrier and BGA relationships, ensuring strong governance, service excellence, operational effectiveness, and accountability across all partnerships.
The role focuses on optimizing existing relationships through performance management, oversight, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and advisor experience enhancement. Success requires strong relationship management capabilities, operational expertise, governance discipline, and the ability to drive accountability across a diverse partner network.
Responsibilities:
Partner Relationship Management
Serve as the executive relationship manager for existing insurance carrier and BGA partnerships.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership at partner organizations.
Act as the primary escalation point and strategic liaison for key partnership matters.
Foster collaborative relationships that support advisor success and business objectives.
Governance & Oversight
Establish and maintain partnership governance frameworks and operating standards.
Lead quarterly business reviews, executive governance meetings, and performance discussions.
Ensure compliance with contractual commitments, service expectations, and operational requirements.
Monitor partnership risks and coordinate mitigation strategies when necessary.
Performance Management
Develop, maintain, and oversee partner scorecards and KPI reporting.
Measure partner performance against service-level agreements, contractual commitments, and business objectives.
Drive accountability and remediation efforts when performance standards are not met.
Monitor operational trends, issue resolution metrics, and service quality indicators.
Advisor Experience & Service Excellence
Partner with Service, Operations, and Distribution teams to improve advisor experience.
Monitor advisor satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
Resolve escalated service, operational, and relationship issues.
Lead initiatives to improve turnaround times, responsiveness, and overall service quality.
Continuous Improvement
Identify operational inefficiencies and lead improvement initiatives across the partner ecosystem.
Develop corrective action plans and partner remediation programs when applicable.
Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Operations, and Technology teams to improve processes and controls.
Drive standardization and consistency across partner management practices.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field.
7-10 years of experience in relationship management, insurance operations, business operations, vendor management, or strategic account management.
7-10 years of experience leading executive-level partner relationships.
7-10 years of experience implementing governance and performance management programs.
Core Competencies:
Strong operational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferences:
Experience within insurance distribution, carrier operations, BGAs, broker-dealers, or wealth management firms.
Knowledge of life insurance, annuity, and insurance servicing operations.
Experience managing SLAs, scorecards, and vendor oversight programs.
Understanding of risk management, compliance, and third-party governance frameworks.

Pay Range:
$106,605.00 - $177,572.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
