To support these efforts, Montefiore is seeking an accomplished Assistant Vice President (AVP), Supply Chain Services to play a central leadership role in one of the organization's most critical enterprise functions. This is a high-impact role for a seasoned healthcare supply chain executive who thrives in complexity, partners closely with senior leaders and clinicians, and drives continuous improvement across day-to-day operations.

The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Vice President, Supply Chain Services, the Assistant Vice President (AVP), Supply Chain Services provides enterprise leadership across Montefiore's end-to-end supply chain. The AVP oversees all core functions-including Strategic Sourcing, Procure-to-Pay, Materials Management, ERP and supply chain systems, Data & Analytics, and Project Design & Enablement-ensuring reliable operations, strong financial stewardship, and continuous improvement.

This role leads high-impact initiatives and coordinates complex, cross-functional programs focused on savings, efficiency, automation, and process redesign. The AVP partners with executive, clinical, and operational leadership across the Health System to define future-state operations, enable technology, and embed continuous improvement as a way of working.

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Operational Leadership: • Oversee day-to-day operations across all supply chain functions, including Strategic Sourcing, Procure-to-Pay, Accounts Payable, Materials Management, ERP and supply chain systems, Data & Analytics, Project Design & Enablement, budgeting, and HR. • Drive performance through KPIs, process monitoring, and timely reporting to leadership. • Ensure departmental adherence to SOPs, protocols, and project documentation.

Transformation, Savings & Strategic Execution: • Lead high-impact initiatives focused on savings, efficiency, automation, and process redesign. • Analyze business needs, assess feasibility, develop requirements, and implement solutions across enterprise supply chain functions. • Coordinate and manage multiple cross-functional projects concurrently, ensuring governance, measurement, and sustained outcomes.

Stakeholder Partnership: • Serve as a trusted partner to executive, clinical, and operational leaders, facilitating collaboration and removing barriers to success. • Develop and execute communication strategies for initiatives, ensuring clear visibility and alignment across the system.

People Leadership: • Lead senior directors and indirectly manage a large, diverse workforce, including unionized teams. • Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-focused culture anchored in accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field required. • Master's degree preferred. • 10+ years of progressive management experience in healthcare supply chain operations, with exposure across multiple supply chain areas. • Demonstrated experience overseeing large teams and complex operations, ideally within an academic medical center or integrated delivery network. • Knowledgeable in: Healthcare Supply Chain Management functions; Vendor Management, Talent Management, Contracting, Project Management, Healthcare standards; ERP, Contracting Software, Inventory Systems; Healthcare Indirect and non-clinical spend categories; and Accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research and analysis. • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and enterprise supply chain systems.
