  • Assist with laboratory reporting and communicate testing results to internal stakeholders.
  • Perform laboratory activities in compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and applicable biosafety requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, deviation investigations, and corrective action activities.
  • Support the development and review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and quality documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to Associate QC Technicians and junior laboratory personnel.
  • Collaborate with Research & Development, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams to support testing schedules and scientific objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes, testing reliability, documentation accuracy, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
  • Master's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Immunology, or a closely related field with at least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related biological science with at least 4 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a diagnostic, clinical, or research setting.
  • Associate's degree with at least 6 years of progressive biological laboratory experience demonstrating increasing responsibility.

Required Technical Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with primary cell culture and tissue culture techniques, including cell propagation, maintenance, and quality assessment.
  • Experience performing serological assays, including ELISA, HI, SN, and AGP.
  • Experience with molecular testing techniques, including PCR and qPCR.
  • Familiarity with BSL-2 biosafety practices and laboratory safety requirements.

  • Strong laboratory documentation, data analysis, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to independently troubleshoot technical issues and exercise sound scientific judgment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple testing activities and competing priorities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience training or mentoring junior laboratory personnel.
  • Commitment to scientific accuracy, quality, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in a biologics, diagnostic laboratory, clinical testing, or regulated Life Sciences environment.
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or electronic laboratory record systems.
  • Familiarity with GLP, GMP, quality management systems, and laboratory regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting assay validation, method qualification, or laboratory process improvements.
  • Previous involvement in laboratory audits, deviation investigations, root cause analysis, or corrective action activities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional scientific, quality, and operational teams.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
  • Work in a laboratory environment with potential exposure to biological materials, chemical reagents, and live pathogens at BSL-2 or higher.
  • Follow established laboratory safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive laboratory tasks requiring fine motor skills.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Flexibility to support testing schedules, including occasional weekend or off-hours work as needed.
