Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced AWS Administrator with a strong background in managing and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure, particularly in Data & Analytics applications. This role requires a proactive professional who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at collaboration, and is committed to delivering high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Administer and manage AWS environments to support Data & Analytics solutions involving both structured and unstructured data.
- Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to refine, document, and prioritize infrastructure requirements.
- Accurately forecast engineering efforts and ensure on-time delivery of solutions.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and automation to support stable development and production systems.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance improvements.
- Perform Linux and Windows system administration tasks.
- Document best practices and enforce governance standards within the team.
- Mentor team members and contribute to a collaborative, multicultural work environment.
- Stay up to date with emerging AWS tools, services, and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Experience- 8+ years of professional experience in AWS administration.
- Proven experience delivering end-to-end Data & Analytics solutions in AWS and Oracle environments.
- Strong understanding of continuous integration, automation, and cloud infrastructure optimization.
- Proficiency in both Linux and Windows system administration.
- Strong collaboration and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work in multi-site, multicultural teams.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality.
Preferred Skills & Experience- AWS Architect Associate certification.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum environments and tools such as JIRA, GIT/Bitbucket, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, SonarQube, and Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Strong working knowledge of Sqoop, Spark, Oozie, Hive, and Impala.
- Experience with ETL tools like Informatica and/or Talend.
- Knowledge of reporting tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or R.
- Experience with data lineage, data profiling, and metadata management tools and processes.
