AWS Chat Product Manager
The AWS Chat Product Manager will lead product ownership for a newly established Scrum team responsible for enhancing and evolving digital chat functionality. This includes delivering new features, enabling system integrations, and driving AI/bot-based automation to improve the customer experience across digital channels. This role is accountable for driving operational platform management across digital chat products and their related ecosystems, with a focus on building and scaling customer-facing chat capabilities within an AWS-enabled environment. The position operates in an agile model delivering agility at scale, innovation, operational efficiency, and secure, compliant solutions.
This role does not support a visa sponsorship and requires working from one of the posted U.S. Bank locations three (3) or more days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos) and actively support team delivery
- Break down complex requirements into manageable workstreams and ensure alignment on priorities
- Act as primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring shared understanding of product vision
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver enhancements including: Chat functionality requirements, system integrations across digital platforms and AI-driven chatbot and automation capabilities
- Translate business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria, ensuring clarity and execution readiness
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically three or more years of related experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in AWS-based tools or cloud-enabled chat environments
- Strong understanding of how chat capabilities integrate with broader systems and digital experiences
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage a complex product backlog and organize high-volume work effectively
- Well-developed ability to develop and articulate a product vision that supports outcomes, value and prioritization of work
- Thorough understanding of the Lean/Agile mindset
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills including ability to collaborate with and empower teams
- Standard industry certifications such as SAFe, CSPO, or PSPO are preferred
