Akkodis is seeking an AWS Cloud Data Lake (Expert) for a Contract with a client in Cambridge, VT. Seeking a senior AWS Cloud Data Lake & Data Science Leader to architect and deliver scalable data, analytics, and machine learning solutions on AWS and Databricks.
Rate Range: $45/Hour to $53/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
AWS Cloud Data Lake (Expert) Job Responsibilities include:
Lead and mentor a team of Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Analytics professionals across onshore and offshore locations, providing technical guidance and career development support.
Design, architect, and manage enterprise-scale AWS Data Lake solutions utilizing services such as S3, Glue, EMR, SageMaker, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, and Lambda.
Develop and oversee scalable big data and machine learning pipelines for data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, validation, and deployment using Databricks and Apache Spark.
Drive end-to-end MLOps practices, including CI/CD automation, model deployment, monitoring, retraining, drift detection, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to identify AI/ML opportunities and translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
Establish governance, security, and best practices for data management, model development, and responsible AI adoption while ensuring high-quality, production-ready solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, and cloud-based analytics solutions, with significant experience on AWS and Databricks.
Expert-level experience designing and managing AWS Data Lake architectures using services such as S3, EMR, Glue, SageMaker, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, Lambda, and IAM, along with strong proficiency in Databricks and Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala).
Proven track record leading enterprise AI/ML initiatives, implementing MLOps frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, model deployment and monitoring, and managing cross-functional data science and machine learning teams in large-scale cloud environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
