Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Database Engineer with strong expertise in data migration from on-premises systems to cloud environments, specifically leveraging AWS Aurora and MySQL. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable database solutions while mentoring team members and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute data migration projects from on-premise systems to AWS cloud environments
  • Ensure adherence to architectural principles, coding standards, and best practices
  • Perform database performance tuning and optimization for high availability and scalability
  • Manage and implement version control and deployment strategies
  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to development team members
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical and performance issues
  • Contribute to both backend services and frontend integration points where required
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to gather and refine requirements

Required (Must-Have) Skills

  • 8 10 years of overall IT experience
  • Proven experience in data migration from on-prem to cloud (AWS)
  • Strong expertise in AWS Aurora DB and MySQL
  • Solid understanding of:
    • Version control systems (e.g., Git)
    • Deployment processes (CI/CD pipelines)
    • Database performance tuning and optimization
  • Experience with troubleshooting complex system issues
  • Strong understanding of system architecture and scalable design

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in Java development
  • Familiarity with modern cloud-native application architectures
