Job#: 3026399\n \nJob Description:\n \nAWS Data Engineer\n \nLocation: Chandler, Arizona (Hybrid)\n \nEmployment Type: Contract\n \nDuration: 12 Months\n \nRole Overview\n \nWe are seeking a skilled AWS Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure on AWS to support data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate with architects, analysts, and software engineers to ensure efficient data flow and accessibility across the organization. This role has a hybrid schedule requirement of a minimum of three days per week onsite.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\n Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using AWS services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, Redshift, and Athena.\n Build and optimize data models for performance and scalability.\n Implement ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into AWS data stores.\n Ensure data quality, integrity, and security by implementing best practices and governance policies.\n Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance, ensuring low latency and high availability.\n Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.\n Automate data workflows using tools like AWS Step Functions or Airflow.\n Implement CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure deployment.\n Stay updated on AWS data services and industry trends to recommend improvements.\n \nRequired Qualifications\n \nEducation: A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.\n \nExperience: 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role is required.\n \nTechnical Skills:\n\n Strong proficiency with AWS services (e.g., S3, Glue, Macie).\n Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.\n Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Terraform, Scala, or Java for data processing.\n Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., AWS Glue, Apache Spark).\n Familiarity with data modeling, schema design, and data warehousing concepts.\n Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control systems.\n \nPreferred Qualifications\n\n AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).\n Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.\n Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks.\n Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform.\n \nCompensation & Benefits\n \nPay Rate Range: $65.00/hr - $70.24/hr.
