Title: AWS DevOps Engineer Kubernetes & Terraform
Locations: Philadelphia, PA (Local Candidates only)
Duration: 06+ Months with Possible Extension.
Pay Range: $50-$55/Hour on W2/ C2C (All inclusive)
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and enterprise environment management. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in AWS, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, and Amazon EKS.
The engineer will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable CI/CD pipelines, automating AWS infrastructure, managing Kubernetes environments, and supporting reliable deployments across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
Note: Local candidates are required.
Key Responsibilities
CI/CD Automation
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize enterprise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Implement effective branching, version control, deployment, and release strategies.
- Improve deployment efficiency through automation and DevOps best practices.
AWS Cloud Infrastructure
- Provision, configure, and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform.
- Support and administer AWS services including EKS, EC2, and S3.
- Implement scalable, reliable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
Kubernetes & Containerization
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Docker.
- Administer and support Kubernetes and Amazon EKS environments.
- Manage Kubernetes deployments, configurations, resources, and troubleshooting.
- Optimize container and cluster performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
Environment Management
- Support and manage Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
- Coordinate application deployments and configuration changes across environments.
- Troubleshoot environment, infrastructure, deployment, and configuration issues.
- Maintain consistency and reliability across enterprise environments.
Monitoring & Reliability
- Integrate and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Monitor infrastructure health, application performance, and resource utilization.
- Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve system reliability and operational efficiency.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, and infrastructure teams.
- Partner with application teams to streamline deployment and delivery processes.
- Promote DevOps, automation, Infrastructure as Code, and operational excellence.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Automation, or related areas.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services.
- Expertise in Amazon EKS, EC2, and S3.
- Strong experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience supporting Amazon EKS in enterprise environments.
- Experience with automated infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Experience managing Development, QA, Staging, and Production environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
