Description AWS Infrastructure Services Supply Chain is seeking a supply chain professional to function as the end-to-end supply owner of our archive storage hardware platforms. In this role, you will build the supply strategy that ensures we can reliably deliver the capacity needed to enable the lowest cost and highest performance archive in the cloud. This role is predominately focused on the assurance of supply, but success also requires the ability to manage commercial aspects of a complex and multi-tiered supply chain. You'll join a diverse team of supply chain specialists, engineers (software, hardware and network), security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is hard-working, meticulous with high bias for action, who gets things done at an effective pace, gets results, and is comfortable working with tight deadlines and changing priorities. A day in the life Key Responsibilities / Daily Activities include: - Material/inventory Planning - Supply/Demand planning / forecasting - Maintaining continuity of supply (COS) - Communicating supply status, risks/mitigations to internal stakeholders and executive leadership - Working with data and analytics (ability to view, edit, and extrapolate data in Excel or similar spreadsheet software) - Working with suppliers/vendors, inventory warehousing teams - Managing all tiers of the archive supply chain from components to full rack assembly. - Capacity planning (expanding new manufacturing lines) Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations experience - 5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis experience - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field - Experience in procurement, supply chain, inventory management, contract management, lease administration or operations - Experience in strategic sourcing including vendor negotiations, global contract management, process improvement, operational and financial analysis - Experience with data analysis tools such as Advanced Excel, SQL, Tableau, Python - Experience in global supply chain management, managing cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company Preferred Qualifications - 4+ years of program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process experience - Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field - Experience in program, project, product management, or leading a product implementation process - Experience in data centers, infrastructure service providers, or related technology companies Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Amazon

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
