Job Overview:
Pay Range: $70.00hr - $75.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Proficient in using various AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, and Athena to build and manage cloud solutions.
- Experience in software development with hands-on skills in Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework, and hibernate technology.
- Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development.
- Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems.
- Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders including developers, business analysts, and other team members.
- Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs and data pipelines with high volumes of data.
- Experience in modernizing legacy applications, including refactoring or migrating in-house legacy applications to the cloud environment.
- Proficient in utilizing AWS services and related components towards building enterprise level Data Lakes.
- Experience working with transactional or RDMS databases.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum Framework environments.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies.
- Design, develop, and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systems.
- Utilize AWS services within application architecture.
- Develop, test, debug, and deliver within timeline using best tools and best practices available.
- Participate in code reviews, ensure security best practices, and maintain clean, efficient code.
- Monitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges.
- Ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
- Work with product managers, business stakeholders, and other team members to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with data analytics and business intelligence solutions such as Power BI or AWS QuickSight.
- Knowledge or experience using ETL tools.
