Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

Seeking for an experienced AWS/Java Developer who will work closely with our data modernization teams to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet our technical and business needs.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Proficient in using various AWS services (e.g., VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, API Gateway, Glue Crawlers, Athena) to build and manage cloud solutions - Must have 5 years of experience.
• Strong skills in Java, J2EE, Java Spring framework, and Hibernate technology - Must have 7 years of experience.
• Experience in modernizing applications, including refactoring, migration, and cloud-native development - Must have 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of modern database technologies and strategies for migrating and modernizing database systems - Must have 5 years of experience.
• Experience with DevOps practices and automation tools - Must have 5 years of experience.
• Experience working with creating AWS ETL jobs and data pipelines with high volumes of data - Must have 3 years of experience.
• AWS Certification is desired.
• State/Government/Federal experience is desired.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective modernization strategies.
• Design, develop, and test Java-based, cloud-native applications and backend systems.
• Utilize AWS services within application architecture.
• Develop, test, debug, and deliver within timelines using best tools and practices.
• Participate in code reviews, ensure security best practices, and maintain clean, efficient code.
• Monitor application performance and optimize for cost, security, and reliability.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve technical issues and challenges.
• Ensure adherence to standards and best practices.
• Work with product managers, business stakeholders, and other team members to refine requirements and deliver solutions.
