We are seeking a senior-level AWS Platform Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions. The role focuses on creating repeatable, secure, observable, auditable, and cost-optimized cloud platforms that accelerate deployment while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. You will automate the provisioning, configuration, and governance of AWS environments supporting customized deployments of the AI Reference Architecture.
Primary Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation & Platform Engineering: Develop reusable IaC modules to automate AWS environment provisioning. Build automated deployment patterns for customized instances of the AI Reference Architecture across dev, test, and production. Establish standardized AWS landing zones, networking, and platform services.
Security & Governance: Implement security-by-design principles across all AWS infrastructure components. Design and enforce IAM roles, policies, least-privilege access controls, encryption standards, and security guardrails. Integrate compliance, auditability, and governance into automated platform deployments.
Observability & Reliability Engineering: Implement monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting solutions. Configure CloudWatch dashboards, alarms, log analytics, and operational metrics. Design self-healing and automated remediation capabilities to improve platform resilience.
Cost Management & FinOps: Design and implement cloud cost governance, tagging strategies, budget controls, and usage monitoring. Create automated mechanisms for cost optimization, rightsizing, and resource lifecycle management.
Integration & DevSecOps Enablement: Develop CI/CD pipelines and platform automation frameworks supporting infrastructure and application deployments. Implement standard integration patterns for AI services, data platforms, APIs, networking, and security services.
Documentation & Operational Excellence: Produce architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, deployment guides, and technical documentation. Establish platform standards, reusable templates, and engineering best practices.
AWS Management & Governance: Hands-on experience with CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, Systems Manager.
Business Continuity: Proven experience with AWS Backup and Disaster Recovery Services.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform (mandatory) and AWS CloudFormation.
Version Control: Proficiency in Git, GitHub/GitLab.
Scripting: Strong scripting capabilities using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
DevOps & Platform Engineering: Strong experience with CI/CD tools ( Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline) and Containerization (Docker).
Orchestration: Direct, hands-on experience with Kubernetes / Amazon EKS.
Platform Methodology: Core understanding of platform engineering and reusable service catalog concepts.
Observability & Security Standards: Proven track record in CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, Splunk, or equivalent, alongside security scanning, compliance automation, incident management, and operational monitoring.
