Role Description: AWS Solution Architect

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 12+ years of experience large scale modernization programs, large-scale integration platform modernization program, migrating from TIBCO middleware or other ESB Platforms to AWS cloud-native architecture
• Should be able Translate Business Needs into AWS Architecture Decisions

o Clarify non-functional requirements such as RTO/RPO, latency expectations, compliance needs, availability targets, and scalability goals.

o Map those requirements to AWS patterns and trade-offs, such as Multi-AZ versus Multi-Region, RDS versus DynamoDB, EC2 versus Lambda, and S3 versus EFS or FSx.

o Explain why each service choice supports the business goal instead of simply selecting technology for its own sake

• Should be able to Choose the Right AWS Services for the Workload, as AWS offers more than 200 services, Architect must used to design reliable, secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.

o Compute: EC2, Auto Scaling, Elastic Load Balancing, Lambda, ECS, and Fargate.

o Storage: S3, EBS, EFS, FSx, and AWS Backup.

o Databases: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redshift.

o Networking: VPC, subnets, internet gateways, NAT gateways, and Route 53.

o Security and operations: IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, WAF, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, Systems Manager, and Trusted Advisor.

• Should be able Use Proven AWS Patterns Instead of One-Off Designs and create architecture patterns rather than isolated services.

o Highly available web applications: ALB, Auto Scaling, Multi-AZ EC2 or RDS, and S3.

o Serverless backends: API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.

o Event-driven systems: SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.

o Static website hosting: S3, CloudFront, and Route 53.

o Disaster recovery topologies: Backup and restore, pilot light, warm standby, and active-active designs.

• Should be able to Design for Availability, Fault Tolerance, and Scale

o Apply least-privilege IAM and use KMS-backed encryption for data at rest.

o Protect data in transit with TLS and apply Security Groups and Network ACLs appropriately. Maintain continuous visibility with services such as CloudTrail, GuardDuty, AWS Config, and WAF where appropriate.

• Should be able Use Proven AWS Patterns Instead of One-Off Designs

o Highly available web applications: ALB, Auto Scaling, Multi-AZ EC2 or RDS, and S3.

o Serverless backends: API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, and CloudWatch.

o Event-driven systems: SQS, SNS, and EventBridge.

o Static website hosting: S3, CloudFront, and Route 53.

o Disaster recovery topologies: Backup and restore, pilot light, warm standby, and active-active designs.

• Must be able to Support Migration and Modernization

o Choose the right migration strategy, such as rehost, replatform, or refactor.

o Map existing databases, storage, and networks to suitable AWS equivalents.

o Introduce cloud-native components incrementally, such as S3, CloudFront, and Lambda@Edge, without disrupting business operations

• Define the end-to-end AWS target technical integration design for migration from TIBCO to AWS, covering: Integration patterns
• (API-led, event-driven, batch, file-based, orchestration)
• Experience in enterprise Integration Architecture and designing AWS Cloud native solution
• Experience with XML, JSON, IDOC, SOAP, REST and/or Web Services (WS-*) and other AWS Integration technologies
• Integration product experience in one of the ESB technologies like TIBCO, etc.
• Knowledge on Docker & Container services and deployment
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD (Jenkins),
• Experience working with Git and Gradle
• Good to have experience on Databricks, Kafka and Pyspark
• Knowledge on API Management and relevant technologies and architecture
• Experience in AWS services like Lambda, SQS, Event Bridge, SNS, Step function, EKS, S3 etc.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to: Migration complexity, Dependency management, Performance bottlenecks, Data integrity
• Define contingency plans for: Rollbacks, Failure scenarios. Ensure production readiness across all waves.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Will be part of Solution Team focussing on Enterprise Integration Solution, Design and POC of critical requirements
• Hands on experience on solutioning and Design dynamically scalable, highly available, fault-tolerant, and reliable Integration Systems and ESB like TIBCO, Integrations Solutions on AWS or any other iPaaS technology Platform
• Knowledge on selection of appropriate AWS services to design and deploy an application based on customer requirements
• Knowledge of Open-source technologies for modernize AWS integration solution
• Knowledge of AWS API management and WAS iPASS technologies
• Knowledge on cost-control strategies
• Effort estimation knowledge on Solutioning an AWS integration solution
• Ability to work with multi stakeholder teams (Account, Sales, Customer etc) to become a trusted advisor for their most critical workloads that support digital transformation and journey to the AWS cloud.
• Ability to work with multi stakeholder teams and support digital transformation and journey to the cloud.
• Knowledge of TIBCO and components like BE, EMS and BW component is preferred.

• Must be AWS Certified and experienced is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skill, Experienced in Agile development
• Self-starter and motivated with ability to work in a fast-paced Rapid Application Development environment
