Azure AI Engineer - Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Azure AI Engineer to join our Windows team and collaborate with various sectors within infrastructure, such as Security and Networking, to create, launch, and support AI-based cloud and hybrid applications. This role requires advanced skills in Generative AI, Azure technologies, and a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and industry knowledge, with excellent communication, teamwork, customer service, and leadership qualities.

Responsibilities:

• Translate business requirements into viable AI solutions within Azure.
• Select appropriate Azure technologies, considering deployment models and their integration with existing tools.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Application Development, and Business teams to design pilot projects and develop production-ready solutions.
• Gather feedback from stakeholders to ensure technical implementation aligns with current and future AI requirements.
• Work closely with security and risk leaders to foresee and mitigate risks, ensuring ethical AI usage and compliance.
• Contribute to LLM operations, focusing on the infrastructure and operational capabilities required to deploy Azure AI solutions.
• Develop tools and capabilities that support data ingestion, feature engineering, data management, and organization.
• Integrate security best practices into solutions to facilitate streamlined CI/CD pipelines for deployment and secure software delivery.
• Establish and optimize the Azure OpenAI service with an architecture tailored to support business teams.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in implementing cloud-based AI workloads on Azure, delivering production-grade solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in implementing Azure OpenAI solutions.
• Experience in Generative AI, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, and LLMOps.
• Proficiency in prompting and fine-tuning LLMs such as GPT-3.5/Turbo, GPT-4/4o (experience with other LLMs is a plus).
• Certifications in AI/ML technologies and Cloud platforms, such as Azure AI Engineer Associate (AZ-102).
• Certification in Azure Solutions Architect Expert or other cloud platforms like AWS or Google is a plus.
• Strong programming experience in Python, R, Java, or C#.
• Expertise in cloud services such as Azure OpenAI, Document Intelligence, AI Search, Cosmos DB, App Service, Managed Identities, Customer Managed Keys, Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, and Copilot Studio.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Bitbucket and Terraform.
• Ability to gather non-functional requirements, perform application architecture frameworks, and execute functional, stress, and performance testing.
• Strong business analysis, requirement gathering, and gap analysis skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Fast learner, team player, and able to work under pressure.
• Power Automate development experience is a plus.
