Azure Architect

Overview

Adastra is seeking an Azure Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and enterprise-grade cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will define end-to-end cloud architecture across infrastructure, networking, security, data, and integration layers while collaborating closely with engineering and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure architecture, cloud governance, automation, and enterprise modernization initiatives, ensuring highly available, cost-efficient, and future-ready cloud environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and define end-to-end Azure cloud architecture for enterprise environments
• Establish architecture standards focused on scalability, performance, reliability, and security
• Design and support multi-environment cloud setups including development, testing, and production
• Define identity and access management strategies using Azure Active Directory and RBAC
• Establish secure network architecture using VNets, Subnets, NSGs, and Firewall solutions
• Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, security, and cloud best practices
• Design scalable cloud-based data storage solutions including Azure Blob Storage and Azure Data Lake
• Architect data integration workflows and cloud-based data pipelines
• Ensure seamless integration between Azure services, enterprise applications, and external systems
• Implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform or Bicep
• Guide CI/CD pipeline architecture and deployment automation practices
• Optimize Azure infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Drive cloud optimization and long-term architecture strategy initiatives
• Collaborate with engineering teams, technical leaders, and business stakeholders on solution delivery
• Create architecture documentation, technical standards, and implementation guideline

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• Strong hands-on experience designing enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure architectures
• Deep expertise in Azure networking including VNets, Subnets, and NSGs
• Experience with Azure Storage services including Blob Storage and ADLS Gen2
• Strong understanding of Azure Active Directory, IAM, and RBAC concepts
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or Bicep
• Experience designing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar platforms
• Strong understanding of cloud automation, governance, and operational best practices
• Experience designing highly available, scalable, and secure cloud environments
• Strong solution architecture and technical design capabilities
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for cross-functional teams
• Strong documentation and collaboration skills

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience designing Azure AI Services architecture
• Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud security frameworks and best practices
• Experience supporting cloud modernization or transformation initiatives
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert
