Azure Architect

Title: Azure Architect
Type: Contract to Hire.
Location: New York, USA
Schedule: Hybrid, 2–3 days per week
Pay: $80–$95/Hour

Azure Platform Architecture

• Design, deploy, and optimize Azure workloads and supporting platform services.
• Support architecture and engineering decisions across Entra, AKS, Azure Virtual Machines, and related Azure capabilities.

Security & Reliability

• Help implement secure configuration, identity controls, resilience, and operational standards for Azure environments.
• Support monitoring, backup, failover, and recovery readiness.

Optimization & Automation

• Improve automation, provisioning speed, and infrastructure consistency through tooling and repeatable engineering patterns.
• Partner on usage optimization and cost-aware design decisions.

Cross-Functional Delivery

• Work with infrastructure, security, and development teams to support enterprise platforms and practice development activities running on Azure.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience designing and supporting Azure environments in production.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Azure services, including Entra, AKS, Azure Virtual Machines, and related infrastructure capabilities.
• Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, and secure cloud operations.
• Comfort troubleshooting, optimizing, and improving Azure environments, with a focus on scalable, secure, and reliable outcomes.
• Ability to work across engineering, security, and operational teams.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; Azure certifications are a plus.
