We are seeking an Azure Cloud Architect to design secure cloud infrastructure and connectivity supporting Army Finance modernization based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O). The solution includes Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. The architect will establish approved deployment patterns, clarify responsibilities across Microsoft-managed services and customer-managed infrastructure, and guide engineering teams through architecture, security, resilience, and operational readiness decisions.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•          Lead cloud architecture discovery and document deployment boundaries, assumptions, dependencies, and approved service selections.

•          Design identity integration, network segmentation, private connectivity, encryption, and environment isolation for approved Azure services.

•          Define secure connections among Microsoft services, the Army cloud environment, and the AWS GovCloud integration boundary.

•          Establish infrastructure-as-code patterns, logging, monitoring, capacity planning, and configuration standards with engineering teams.

•          Define backup, recovery, and resilience requirements and support validation of recovery procedures and service dependencies.

•          Document shared responsibilities and inherited security controls across software-as-a-service and customer-managed components.

•          Support Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, technical security evidence, and architecture reviews with security stakeholders.

•          Review implementation designs and resolve cloud architecture issues throughout development, testing, deployment, and support transition.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

•          7+ years of experience in infrastructure or cloud engineering, including 3+ years with Azure and 2+ years designing production cloud architectures.

•          Experience designing cloud networking, identity, private connectivity, encryption, and secure access controls.

•          Hands-on understanding of infrastructure as code, observability, backup and recovery, and environment management.

•          Experience delivering Government cloud solutions and applying Zero Trust principles and RMF requirements.

•          Ability to distinguish software-as-a-service responsibilities from customer-managed infrastructure and design across those boundaries.

•          Ability to coordinate cross-cloud integrations and communicate architecture decisions, tradeoffs, and dependencies to technical and business stakeholders.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

•          Familiarity with AWS GovCloud and secure connectivity between Azure and AWS environments.

•          Experience supporting D365 F&O integrations or enterprise financial-system modernization.

•          Experience validating cloud services against Government deployment and authorization requirements.

EDUCATION:

•          Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant education, training, and professional experience.

CLEARANCE / SUITABILITY:

•          Must meet Government citizenship and background check requirements. Any required security clearance and access approvals must be obtained before accessing Government systems or project data and maintained throughout the assignment.

•          Remote within the United States.
