Azure Cloud Engineer

Kforce's client in Charlotte, NC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to join our team and lead the automation and management of our cloud environments using Terraform, with a strong focus on key Azure services.

Role Overview: As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. Your expertise in Terraform will be crucial in automating service creation and lifecycle management. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient operation of critical Azure services including AKS (Kubernetes), Azure Database for PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB (MongoDB API), Azure Event Hubs (Kafka), and Azure Cache for Redis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to build resilient, scalable, and secure cloud environments
• Develop and maintain Terraform modules and reusable components following best practices
• Troubleshoot and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability
• Stay current with Azure service updates, Terraform releases, and cloud industry trends to continuously improve our infrastructure
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team

Automate provisioning, configuration, and lifecycle management of Azure services focusing on:

• Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Azure Database for PostgreSQL
• Azure Cosmos DB for MongoDB
• Azure Event Hubs for Kafka
• Azure Cache for Redis
