Azure Cloud Infrastructure Architect

We are seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to lead the design, administration, and optimization of our Microsoft Azure environment. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving cloud strategy, improving infrastructure performance, and overseeing a small IT support and infrastructure team.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Azure-based cloud infrastructure.
• Develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Lead infrastructure operations, cloud administration, and technical support activities.
• Manage Azure networking, security, identity management, and governance.
• Partner with business and technology teams to deliver infrastructure solutions.
• Drive cloud migration, automation, and modernization initiatives.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and security compliance.
• Establish infrastructure standards, documentation, and best practices.
• Oversee incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure engineering, or cloud architecture.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Azure networking, security, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), and governance.
• Background supporting Microsoft environments, including Windows Server and Microsoft 365.
• Proven leadership experience managing projects and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

• Experience with Terraform, Bicep, or Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with Jira or Jira Service Management.
• Background working in cloud-first organizations or high-growth environments.
