Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Overland Park, KS or Cary, NC (Hybrid)

Mandatory Skills :  Azure Infra Services, Azure Virtual Desktop/Terraform, Cloud Solution Architecture, AWS 

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, implement, administer, and support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements, security standards, availability, scalability, and performance objectives.
2. Deploy, configure, and manage Azure services, including:
   • Azure Virtual Machines and Virtual Networks (VNets)
   • Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Load Balancers
   • Azure Application Gateway and Azure Site Recovery
   • Storage Accounts, Azure Files, and Backup
   • Azure Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics
   • Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
3. Perform hands-on troubleshooting across Azure compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring, and application connectivity.
4. Design and maintain secure public, private, and hybrid Azure cloud environments.
5. Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, RBAC, Azure Policy, resource tagging, governance, and infrastructure standardization.
6. Implement and manage Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, including CI/CD pipelines and automated infrastructure deployments.
7. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, and/or Bicep to enable repeatable, standardized, and automated Azure infrastructure provisioning.
8. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and resource utilization, and implement improvements to optimize reliability and efficiency.
9. Apply cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, network security, policy enforcement, and secrets management.
10. Support backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability requirements for Azure workloads.
11. Collaborate with development, security, networking, and operations teams to deliver reliable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.
12. Maintain technical documentation, infrastructure standards, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of overall IT experience.
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience with Azure or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure administration and infrastructure management.
• Experience with Azure networking, compute, storage, monitoring, backup, and security services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with identity management, RBAC, Azure Policy, and cloud governance.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across infrastructure, development, security, and operations teams.
