A global enterprise organization is seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of cloud-native data solutions. This role will focus on building scalable Azure-based data platforms and modernizing enterprise data infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, PySpark, Python, and Azure cloud technologies. You will work closely with engineering and business stakeholders to develop reliable data pipelines, improve data accessibility, and support large-scale analytics initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design and implement scalable Azure-based data solutions.
  • Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using modern cloud technologies.
  • Develop and maintain solutions using Azure Databricks and PySpark.
  • Support enterprise data ingestion, transformation, and integration workflows.
  • Work with Azure Data Factory, Data Lake Gen2, and Synapse environments.
  • Develop APIs and integration services using Python frameworks such as FastAPI.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on CI/CD and DevOps best practices.
  • Improve performance, reliability, and scalability across cloud data environments.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer within Azure cloud environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, PySpark, and Python.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake Gen2.
  • Strong SQL skills across relational and/or NoSQL databases.
  • Experience designing cloud-native ETL/ELT workflows.
  • Familiarity with Azure Functions and API integrations.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar tooling.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
