Azure DB Developer

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $55.00hr - $60.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Advanced expertise in SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Strong T SQL development skills including stored procedures, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure hosted databases and cloud-based architectures.
• Hands on experience with PowerShell for database deployment and automation.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps pipelines and GitHub for version control.
• Solid understanding of database design principles and data modeling.
• Experience supporting applications built on .NET / C# for backend integration.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Azure SQL / SQL Server databases to support enterprise grade applications.
• Develop and optimize T SQL, stored procedures, functions, views, and indexes.
• Ensure database performance, scalability, availability, and data integrity.
• Partner closely with application developers to support backend and full stack features.
• Implement and manage database deployments using PowerShell and automated release pipelines.
• Support CI/CD workflows using Azure DevOps and GitHub.
• Perform schema versioning, migration, partitioning, and release coordination across environments.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform performance tuning, and root cause analysis.
• Enforce database security, access controls, and best practices.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, Client, or Terraform.
• Experience with database monitoring, performance diagnostics, and tuning in Azure.
• Familiarity with security, auditing, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
