Azure DevOps Engineer

Our Client, an IT Services and Consultant company, is looking for an Azure DevOps Engineer for their Mclean, VA location.

Responsibilities:

• The role involves close collaboration with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline delivery, enhance system reliability, and enforce security and compliance standards.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines.
• Managing Git version control and branching strategies.
• Orchestrating metadata and data deployments.
• Enforcing security and compliance standards.
• Develop and maintain cloud-native applications using modern frameworks and tools
• Set up and maintain test environments across cloud platforms (Ex: Azure)
• Research and evaluate new technologies to improve system performance and reliability
• Collaborate with DevOps and QA teams to ensure seamless CI/CD integration
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
• Ensure application responsiveness, scalability, and security
• Write technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing
• Set up and maintain monitoring systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog)
• Analyse logs and metrics to detect anomalies and performance bottlenecks
• Ensure visibility into system behaviour across environments
• Operate Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS); author Helm charts and deployment manifests for scalable, reliable deployments
• Integrate automated security scanning (SAST/DAST, dependency checks, container image scanning) into CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage secrets securely with Azure Key Vault.

• We are seeking an experienced with 7+ yrs Azure DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation frameworks on Microsoft Azure.
