Azure Network Infrastructure Engineer

Oxford Solutions is working with a client seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer for a contract role. This role is best suited for someone with strong hands-on Azure administration experience and a solid foundation in infrastructure, networking, and systems support.

This is a small IT team environment where the selected candidate will need to be comfortable contributing quickly, taking ownership, and working across cloud, network, and systems-related tasks. Must have Azure experience, especially Azure networking, routing, connectivity, and cloud infrastructure support.

Responsibilities

• Support, maintain, and troubleshoot Azure infrastructure across networking, systems, and cloud-connected environments
• Assist with Azure networking, including routing, connectivity, configuration, and related infrastructure support
• Administer Azure resources and support day-to-day cloud infrastructure operations
• Troubleshoot issues involving Azure services, network connectivity, servers, storage, and enterprise systems
• Support hybrid infrastructure environments involving cloud platforms, Windows Server, virtualization, and network technologies
• Work with enterprise storage and file services, including cloud-integrated platforms where applicable
• Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across business-critical infrastructure
• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, documentation, and operational improvements
• Collaborate with a small technical team where strong ownership, accountability, and clear communication are essential
• Provide responsive support for infrastructure issues and contribute to problem resolution from day one

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Azure administration experience required
• Experience with Azure networking, routing, connectivity, and cloud infrastructure support
• 4 to 6+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, systems administration, NOC, SOC, or a related technical support role
• Background supporting Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure
• Experience with networking concepts, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure technologies
• Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V preferred
• Exposure to enterprise storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, hybrid storage, or cloud-integrated storage preferred
• Experience with Nasuni, Aruba networking, or similar technologies is a plus
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Azure, networking, systems, and infrastructure environments
• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment with limited hand-holding
• Strong communication skills and ability to clearly explain technical issues and resolutions
