Azure Ops/FinOps Engineer

Rate : $65/hr
We are seeking an experienced Azure Ops/FinOps Engineer to drive cloud cost optimization, improve operational efficiency, and enhance Azure infrastructure governance. The engineer will work across FinOps, automation, architecture review, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities
FinOps & Cost Optimization
  • Monitor Azure resource utilization and billing reports.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities (right sizing, reservations, cleanup of idle/orphaned resources).
  • Implement governance policies and budget controls.
  • Provide cost breakdowns by resource, workload, and tags.
Engineering & Automation (DevOps)
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
  • Integrate IaC modules into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Improve environment reliability, performance, and deployment consistency.
Architecture & Rationalization
  • Conduct Azure Well Architected Reviews.
  • Support workload migrations (e.g., Citrix → AVD).
  • Evaluate cloud vs. on prem placement for optimal cost/performance.
Operations & Support
  • Provide administrative support for Azure subscriptions.
  • Troubleshoot incidents and ensure timely resolution.
  • Enforce security, compliance, and Azure policy standards.
Mandatory Skills
  • Azure FinOps (cost analysis, budgeting, optimization strategies)
  • Azure Cost Management + Usage Insights
  • Terraform and/or Bicep (IaC)
  • Azure DevOps / CI-CD Pipelines
  • Azure Governance, Policies, RBAC, Security
  • Azure Well Architected Framework knowledge
  • Strong understanding of Azure compute, storage, networking
  • Troubleshooting & Operations support experience
