About Mark's Auto Service

Mark's Auto Service is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician in Gillette, NJ.
This position offers $65,000-$85,000+ in annual earning potential with hourly pay plus a weekly team performance bonus.
Technicians work Monday through Friday in a six-bay shop with six lifts, an alignment rack, air conditioning, and heat.
The shop supports continued development through paid training, online education, and ASE certification reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform automotive maintenance and general repair across domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles.

• Complete digital vehicle inspections using Shop-Ware with clear documentation of vehicle condition and recommended work.

• Diagnose drivability, mechanical, and electrical concerns using intermediate-to-advanced diagnostic skills.

• Use Snap-on and Autel scan tools to support accurate automotive diagnostics and repair decisions.

• Perform services and repairs including tires, brakes, oil-leak repairs, electrical work, maintenance, and engine-related repairs.

• Perform New Jersey emissions inspections when properly licensed.

• Complete approved repairs efficiently after inspection findings and recommendations are authorized.

• Work collaboratively with the General Manager, service advisors, and other technicians to maintain an efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated B-Level automotive repair experience with the ability to complete most maintenance and repair work independently.

• Intermediate-to-advanced automotive diagnostic ability, including electrical and drivability diagnostics.

• Experience performing digital vehicle inspections is required.

• Experience servicing a broad mix of domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles.

• ASE certifications are strongly preferred; Mark's Auto Service provides reimbursement for ASE certification.

• New Jersey emissions inspector licensing is a plus.

• New Jersey emissions repair licensing is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

• $65,000-$85,000 annual earning potential based on the approved pay structure and job-related qualifications.
