Workway is a leading professional staffing firm that partners with organizations nationwide to connect them with exceptional talent. We are currently seeking a B2B Collections Specialist on behalf of a rapidly growing national leader in restoration and construction services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, resolving account issues, and driving timely collections.

Unlike traditional collections, you'll be working with individual construction and restoration projects, each with its own billing timeline, documentation, and payment process. Success in this role requires strong organization, persistence, and excellent customer service skills.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Contact customers regarding outstanding invoices through phone and email.
  • Maintain a high volume of outbound collection calls each day.
  • Document collection activity and customer communications in the system.
  • Identify payment delays and escalate issues to internal teams when appropriate.
  • Research account status and verify billing information.
  • Follow up on aging receivables while maintaining positive customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with project managers, billing, and operations to help move accounts toward payment.
  • Maintain accurate account notes and collection records.
  • Meet established collection goals and productivity expectations.

Required qualifications for the position include:

  • 2+ years of Business-to-Business collections or Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred qualifications for the position include:

  • Construction, restoration, contracting, or project-based billing experience.
  • HighRadius experience.
  • Experience working with large invoice volumes.
  • ERP system experience.

What Makes This Role Different?

This is not traditional consumer collections. Every account represents a unique project, requiring coordination between customers and internal teams to ensure invoices move through the payment process. Your focus is on initiating conversations, identifying obstacles, and helping move projects toward resolution—not aggressive collections.

Pay Rate Range: $28.00 - 35.00 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
